My wife and I are both hearing impaired, and we once had a precious daughter named Mihyun.
During the pregnancy, everything seemed perfectly normal. But when Mihyun was born, the umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck. Because of that, her brain was deprived of oxygen, and she was later diagnosed with a brain lesion.
What followed were three long years of intensive treatments and surgeries. It was an incredibly difficult time.

I can no longer give gifts to Mihyun.
But I felt that if I could offer the love I had for her to children all around the world, it would bring joy to God’s heart.
Even while volunteering, I still found myself crying, thinking of Mihyun.
