EBOLA RESPONSE

During the height of the Ebola outbreak in Liberia in 2014, Samaritan’s Purse opened an Ebola Treatment Center, providing hands-on care for patients. In 2019, Samaritan’s Purse established another Ebola Treatment Center in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and continued its work to help stop the spread of the virus.

Samaritan’s Purse has deployed a Disaster Assistance Response Team to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where Ebola infections are rapidly spreading. The deployed team—made up of virus response experts, infection prevention and control specialists, medical personnel, and medical technicians—is coordinating medical response efforts on the ground and helping local mission hospitals establish effective infection prevention and control procedures.

“Samaritan’s Purse has been on the front lines fighting Ebola for more
than a decade, and we will not stop responding to Ebola. We will do everything
we can to save lives.”
 — Franklin Graham, President of Samaritan’s Purse —

Samaritan’s Purse is serving people in need in the Name of Jesus Christ and bringing comfort through the love of God.

Please join us in praying for the safety of the staff responding to Ebola on the ground and the deployed Disaster Assistance Response Team as they carry out this ministry.

Please also stand with us through your prayers and support so that the people in Central and East Africa who have been severely affected may quickly recover their health.
