Amy, a 9-year-old girl in Brundy who had difficulty walking because her leg bones were bent out, and there was no doctor in the area when Amy lived. Meanwhile, Samaritan’s purse dispatched an orthopedic surgeon to treat Amy, and she is now playing with her friends and dreaming of the future.
Mission hospitals lack the specialized personnel and resources necessary to perform complex surgical procedures that are routine in developed countries. To meet this need, our World Medical Mission project sends Christian surgeons and nurses to serve at our partner hospitals. They perform orthopedic surgeries that enable people to walk; repair urological problems; and treat dangerous hydrocephalus complications. Your gift will be used as an instrument of healing, offering specialty surgery to a suffering patient and introducing them to the One who restores and redeems.
