HR and Office Operations Manager

JOB SUMMARY

The HR and Office Operations Manager is responsible for the smooth and effective operations of the Samaritan’s Purse Korea (“SPK”) office. This position is responsible for leading and executing HR strategies that align with SPK's ministry objectives and foster a positive workplace culture. Areas of responsibility include human resources, facilities, and office inventory.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must maintain a personal relationship with and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, as well as able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    - Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university
    - Five to seven years of HR experience and/or business operations-related experience and/or training
    - Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
    - Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively and prioritize strategically
    - Outstanding levels of professionalism, interpersonal skills, and adaptability to handle a high volume of urgent and confidential information
    - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work, with an ability to exercise sound judgement and demonstrate resourcefulness while managing time well
    - Familiarity with Korea Labor Standards Act preferable

  • LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Fluency in both spoken and written Korean and English is essential.

  • TRAVEL

    This position may require domestic travel for operational purposes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Human Resources

  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment and onboarding/offboarding processes, including contract management

  • Handle employee relations matters, employer member of the Labor Management Council and Grievance Committee member

  • Training and development of employees, performance management and goal-setting

  • Review, develop and implement HR policies and procedures with Senior Management

  • Work with the CFO to manage various compensation structures, salary, incentive plans and benefits

  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure the Company's offerings are competitive and fair

  • Lead events and functions to engage, motivate and retain employees

  • Coordinate annual government-mandated HR training programs

  • Coordinate required HR documentation with outside accounting firm and labor law firm to ensure compliance with government regulations; manage year-end tax adjustments

  • Review monthly staff timesheets for payment; manage attendance recording system

  • Work with Finance on compensation, benefits and insurance-related matters; reporting to the insurance agencies

  • Provide recommendations for cost savings for SPK

Office Operations

  • Manage facilities, company vehicles & inventory/storage

  • Manage office overhead budget

  • Support for staffing on special projects

  • Supports other finance and office operations functions as required

  • Follow policies and procedures of Samaritan’s Purse as set forth in the Policy Manual

  • Attend daily morning devotions and participate in prayer support

  • Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public

JOB CONDITIONS

  • Working Hours

    Monday- Friday (5 days a week) 8:00am – 5:00pm

    Seoul, Jongno-gu Jongro 47, SC Building 13th Floor (Jonggak Station)

    Based on internal pay structure and applicant’s qualifications (negotiable)
