In the winter of 2020, about 30 churches and schools in South Korea participated in making gift boxes and Samaritan’s Purse collected about 3,000 gift boxes.
OCC gift boxes arrived in Mongolia on March 30th of 2021, but unfortunately with circumstances surrounding Covid, Samaritan’s Purse was not able to deliver the gift boxes to the kids right away.
But as we were waiting with anticipation backed by people’s prayers and support, Samaritan’s Purse was finally able to start distributing the boxes a little before the summer of 2021.
In the beginning, gift boxes were distributed to children door to door. Starting summer, Samaritan’s Purse was able to have small gatherings and distribute the boxes through our National Leadership Team in Mongolia.

Children were delighted to receive the gift boxes. With much curiosity, they opened up the boxes and marveled at all the items that were in them. They were delighted to see the gifts and the letters that were so neatly packed. It was a moment when all the love and effort that have been put into these boxes came to fruition.

To the excited children after receiving these gift boxes, the OCC staff in Mongolia delivered the message of the gospel. The staff explained the true eternal gift, Jesus, and led the children into prayer to accept Jesus into their hearts. Although this is a small beginning, we are praying that God will grow the seed that has been planted in their hearts. We are hoping that through these children, families will change, and churches will be built.

Among children that received the gift boxes, many of them participated in “The Greatest Journey” and learned what it means to be a disciple of Jesus and to live out the Christian life.

Most of the boxes have been delivered and we continue to pray that God will meet these children, and that these children will accept Jesus into their hearts.
Tremendous thanks for your participation in this ministry in advancing God’s kingdom. Please partner with us in prayer as we continue with distribution of boxes and discipleship.

- For the children to grow in their faith and also for their families to know Jesus.
- For God to open doors so that more children can participate in 12- week- discipleship program, and through it, they may learn what it means to be a disciple.
- Even in the midst of covid, that God will continuously make away for us to deliver the gift boxes to the children in Mongolia.
- To protect the safety and the health of the National Leadership Team in Mongolia.

OCC Pack a box
Through Operation Christmas Child, Samaritan’s Purse Korea is sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with millions of boys and girls in more than 100 countries each year. Many of these children have never before received a present or heard the true meaning of Christmas—until they open a gift-filled box from a person like you. A requested donation per gift box provides for collection, processing, and shipping, as well as Gospel materials for the child.
